Why are you doing this?To make enough money to make a nice quality feature film and to also generate interest in what I do so that I may get noticed by someone who may be able to help me fulfill this dream.
Why are you asking for one million dollars?I'm not really asking for a million dollars. Whatever amount of money I can generate through this site would be a big help. I figured out that my website has one million pixels on the homepage and if I sold each pixel for $1 each that I could possibly wind up making $1 million dollars.
If I do reach the mark of making $1 million dollars, I would hopefully be of interest to other investors that could possibly turn this movie into something HUGE! Regardless of what happens, I will make a movie regardless but $1 million dollars is widely considered to be a low budget for a motion picture and I hope that this site garners enough interest for me to gather more investors in this project.
Where did this idea come from?I got this idea from Alex Tew, who The Million Dollar Homepage. He was a struggling student trying to raise money for his tuition and needless to say, he reached his goal and then some.
I've been looking for ways to to raise money for my film projects for some time now. I even started a couple of businesses with hopes of funneling the success from my businesses to my true passion, which is filmmaking. I'm hoping that this website could be the main channel that I need to get this passion off the ground.
What type of film will it be?It's pretty much still up in the air. I have a few scripts written and I will post some of the excerpts on this site when the time is ready. My main idea is to make a feature film adaptation of my short film entitled "An Assassin's Heart", which can be seen here or can be purchased here.
I'm also leaving open the possibility that through this site that I may run into a few Hollywood or film connects and maybe we can throw some ideas in a pot and come up with something together.
Who will be the film crew?Well, the crew has yet to be assembled but I have a few of my film buddies in mind that I have met over the years.
I will also accept applications from those that feel that they could contribute to this project in any capacity when the time's right. Please do not send any applications now. Stay tuned to blog for more details.
I am seeing another site like this one on the web. When was this site launched?This website was launched on January 11th, 2006 which is proved here over at whois.com. This site is widely known to be the first launched site to try and raise $1 million dollars for a feature film entirely online. You can also access this site through the domain AMillonDollarsandaMovie.com as well.
How do I win the $100,000 prize?All you have to do is register for free and start clicking ads to be in with a chance. Read the How it Works page for more details.
How can you give away $100,000?The prize is totally funded by revenue from pixel advertising. On the FundMyMovieOnline.com board there are 1 million pixels of ad space available at $1 per pixel.
When all of the ad space fills up, we will award the winner with the $100,000 prize.
Do I have to pay to enter?No, there is absolutely no purchase necessary to participate. You simply have to register and click on ads to have a chance. The more ads you click, the greater the chances are for you winning.
Is this legal?It is absolutely legal. This is not a gambling website. We are simply giving people a chance to win $100,000 from the proceeds that we receive in advertising income. This is a fundraising website for our film purposes.
If you are from a country other than the US, it is your responsibility to know if it is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
Winner of the $100,000 prize will be responsible to pay taxes on money received.
Who is allowed to play?Any individual can play as long as they are 16 or over, and as long as it is not unlawful in your jurisdiction.
Any company, family member, associates, employees, & affiliates of FundMyMovieOnline.com, Kitt HoRizon Films, and advertisers on FundMyMovieOnline.com are not permitted to play the game.

Does clicking bigger ads give me a bigger chance of winning?No. Clicking a small ad gives you the same chance as clicking a big ad. They both count as one entry each. When the draw takes place, one ad will be selected at random out of all of the ads, irrespective of size.
What if you don't sell all the pixels?If all the pixels are not sold after 12 months, then the draw will take place anyway, one month later. The jackpot will equal 10% of all the revenue that has been received up to that point.
Are you giving any money to charity?Yes, the winner will get to nominate a charity of their choice to receive $100,000, in addition to their $1m prize, or should all the pixels not be sold, the charity fund will equal 10% of the jackpot.
Can I have more than one account?You are only allowed one account, and you can click up to 10 ads per day. You are not permitted to open multiple accounts, and anyone who does will be disqualified from the draw. If you win, you'll have to provide proof of ID and proof of address based on the information you provided when you signed-up.
